!Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Morigaon district of Assam in India. The natural boundary of the Pobitara wildlife sanctuary is the Garanga Beel on the south and the river Brahmaputra on the North, rest of the boundary are artificial and surrounded by 27 villages. Area of this sanctuary is about 38.8 sq. km. This sanctuary is famous mainly for its Great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros. Other animals such as the Asiatic Buffalo, Leopard, Wild Bear, Civet Cat etc. are also found here. More than 200 birds and various reptiles are found in this sanctuary.
